Yes, on June 2nd the TSU Board of Regents approved a temporary addition to the existing university admission standards due to COVID-19, waiving the SAT or ACT requirements for freshmen applicants with a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and rank in the top 25% of their high school class. This decision was made as a result of the cancelled SAT and ACT exams.

The deadline to apply for the Fall semester is August 14, 2020. If changes are made to the application deadline, the updates will be posted to the university’s Admission website.

Texas Southern University is waiving the TSI testing fee for students who are unable to physically take the test. In lieu, students will pay a fee through Examity, a remote test proctoring service, to take the TSI test. For more information about testing at TSU, visit Testing Center.

Face to Face: A course in which the instruction is provided with the instructors and students are in the same place on campus. This instruction will now take place with social distancing guidelines in place. Students will need to enter and exit buildings according to instructions posted. That means that everyone will enter and have temperatures checked, wear facemasks, and maintain the 6 feet of distancing. Class sizes will be reduced for these types of classes.

HybridTrò chơi hacker bùng nổ: A course in which a majority (more than 50 percent but less than 85 percent), of the planned instruction occurs when the students and instructor(s) are not in the same place.

Students will learn new concepts, ask questions on past assignments/activities, and prepare for other assignments while in the classroom, and apply what was learned in class to assignments and activities online. The approach is more on student-centered learning.

OnlineTrò chơi hacker bùng nổ: A course that is offered fully online. A student receives instruction, assignments, and completes all work online through a computer or device. Some online courses may require virtual class meetings.

When you were admitted, you should have received an email from (Office of Admissions that said “Texas Southern University-Acknowledgement.” In that email, there is information on how to set up your TSU username and password. If you have not received it, please email our Information Technology department at (insert help desk email address). Your TSU ID number is listed on your acceptance letter. If you can’t find it, please email admissions@tsu.edu with your first and last name and date of birth. Our staff can look it up for you.

• BlueJeans is the platform used to conduct online peer tutoring. The link to access BlueJeans will be included in the appointment confirmation in the student's EAB (T-Claw) account. Students can use their cell phones, electronic tablet, desktop or laptop to receive the online service.

Yes, Students can select a roommate on their housing application, and email it to: tsuhousing@tsu.edu with your request. The applicant’s roommate selection must have all financial obligations complete to be considered.

• Out-of-state students estimated aid award amount: $29,000

• NOTE: Estimated amount above does not include the meal plan. According to these estimates if your financial aid award package does not exceed the estimated amount you will be responsible to pay meal plan out of pocket.

Tuition and fees for each academic year are set by the Texas Southern Board of Regents.
